How it grows

Every reading, repair, purchase or statement you mention is filed by the assistant into the right concept, with a one-line note on what changed and why. Due dates and objection deadlines sit on each concept, so “what is due?” is a search, not a guess. In the example statement, the check template finds two costs that are never allowed and the back payment drops from €234.18 to €36.18; next year the assistant compares against it.

How do I check my Nebenkostenabrechnung? Note the day it arrived (objections within 12 months), check each cost type against your lease and the never-list, compare your total per m² with the Mieterbund average (€2.67 per m² per month for 2024), then ask for the receipts or object in writing. The templates walk you through it.

Example: a house in Germany plus a rented flat for the tenant part. Adapt the lists to your country. The binder tracks what you have; it never tells you which insurance or contract to choose.
